Hello Bibliophiles!

Welcome to my library. I mean, kind of. This will be myway of transforming my physical library into one online that I can share with you!

For the last year and a half I have rediscovered my love of reading. I learned to escape the crazy and enjoy what was in front of me. I learned that reading can be both a coping skill and an addiction. I became a bookseller, where I could share my passion of reading and discover new loves. In addition to all that… I continued to pursue my dreams in higher education. Which let me tell you has been exhausting.

But now…now I’m ready to try something new.

I’m ready to write.

I’ve been busy writing essays, research proposals, and theses that I am ready for something fun. My ultimate goal will be to write my first romance novel. But for anyone who has thought about taking on that project, it takes time, and creativity. To help with that process, in the meantime I will be working on sharing my experience as a bibliophile.

By definition, a bibliophile is “a person who collects or has a great love of books.”

So here is a little about me.

I physically own 468 books (and counting). Audiobooks and Ebooks adds to that number substantially. I have a range of old books, new books, signed books, special edition books, paperback, hard cover and more.

I prefer Romance, Historical Fiction, Fantasy, Mystery/Thriller, and YA Fantasy; but I will try anything once.

Do I read spicy romance?

100%. It has probably become one of my all time favorite genres.

What can you expect to find on this website and my podcast?

To start, it will probably be a lot of book reviews, maybe some bookish items, or insight into my awakening bibliophile journey. But, if I am being honest, I am not entirely sure what this will turn into; though I am excited to find out!

What I can tell you is this. I will post three times a week (and if you are lucky a few more). It will be full of book related information and fun. And it will allow us to connect with more people with the same passions.

If you have made it this far and are interested in more, then WELCOME!

If not, that is completely okay! Everyone has a different journey and I hope yours is wonderful.

Sincerely,

Awakening Bibliophile

(AKA Marysa)
